In September 2004 I entered a show garden at the Amateur Gardening Show held at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset. My garden of illusion, titled
“Purple Phantasmagoria”, won a Gold Medal and First Prize –
a cheque for £1,000 and a commemorative glass bowl was presented by Tommy Walsh of “Ground Force”.
