Initial Consultation: I aim to provide a free initial consultation wherever possible, but a charge may be made depending on where you live. Should a charge be made for my visit, it will be deducted from the quotation submitted for the garden construction.
Design Fee: Charged either on a lump sum or percentage basis, determined by the size of the garden and the complexity of the design. A lump sum is used where the scope of the work can be clearly defined from the outset and starts at £280.00, based on a rate of £25.00 per hour (as a “Sole Trader” there is no added VAT). Percentage fees are calculated as a percentage, on a sliding scale, of the contract cost of hard and soft landscaping. All fees will be explained fully during my initial visit. Wherever possible, I will give you a figure during my visit for the cost of your garden design so that you know how much you will pay.
Construction: An accurate figure for landscaping work will be submitted with the master plan (this is the point when groundworks, materials, planting scheme etc are known and can therefore be costed).
